ABOUT THE COFFEE

The Manager of Kanya washing station, Kanyamibwa Edmond has a long experience in managing coffee farmers and he has a great passion for coffee. Last year, he realized that there were many coffee farmers in the area but yet lacked access to a nearby washing station. With RTC’s finance, he built Kanya washing station from scratch, and he was able to generate a good profit in his first year of operation.<br>He supports his farmers’ families with food and other financial help. His operations have allowed farmers to receive a good price for their coffee, and being in the area has significantly reduced the distance most farmers used to travel to reach the nearest station.
In partnership with the local government, he distributes fertilizers to his farmers.
