Inspired by his great-great-great-grandfather John Cadbury, James set up Love Cocoa with the aim of producing great-tasting chocolate bars in the UK, in a way that appeals to customers and the planet. The inspiration behind Love Cocoa comes from founder James Cadbury, the great-great-great-grandfather of John Cadbury, who created Cadbury chocolate nearly 200 years ago. A philanthropist and anti-slavery activist, John Cadbury built his company on great ethical foundations, caring for its workforce and advancing civil rights, and these same ethical values remain at the heart of Love Cocoa today. In partnership with the Eden Reforestation Projects, Love Cocoa plants one tree for every product they sell. Eden Reforestation Projects is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that works together with local communities in developing countries to restore natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation, thereby creating jobs, protecting ecosystems and helping to combat climate change. Together, they have already planted over one million trees and have no intention of slowing down.
