FOR THE COFFEE

Aquiares, one of Costa Rica’s largest and most historic coffee farms, has been producing high-quality Arabica coffee since 1890, with 924 hectares dedicated to shade-grown coffee.

Under the management of Don Alfonso since 1992, the farm has focused on social welfare, helping workers become homeowners and fostering a thriving community, while also committing to sustainability through initiatives like carbon neutrality and organic farming.

The farm grows the Caturra variety at high elevations, where all coffee is handpicked by skilled harvesters and processed on-site using innovative drying methods, ensuring the production of specialty coffees that meet the highest quality standards.

ABOUT Taith

Taith means “journey” in Welsh – and that’s exactly what you can expect from every coffee they roast. Based in Lewes, UK, Taith is a small, independent roastery with a passion for sourcing rare and expressive coffees from producers who push boundaries and grow with care.

Each lot is a reflection of origin, process, and people – always seasonal, traceable, and roasted with precision. From vibrant washed Ethiopians to experimental Colombian fermentations, Taith’s coffees are clean, characterful, and full of surprises.
