El Socorro is a remarkable 700-hectare estate in Palencia, Guatemala, where sustainability and innovation thrive. Only 125 hectares are dedicated to coffee cultivation, with the remaining land preserved as natural forest - a reflection of the farm’s commitment to environmental conservation. Under the stewardship of Diego de la Cerda, El Socorro produces exceptional coffees, including Pacamara, Geisha, Bourbon, and more, most of which are shade-grown alongside crops like avocados to support a thriving ecosystem.

In 2023, El Socorro’s dedication to excellence was recognized with a win at the Guatemalan Cup of Excellence for one of their washed Geisha coffees - a true highlight that we were thrilled to share with you. This commitment to quality and sustainability places El Socorro at the forefront of rare and exclusive coffees.

Among their standout offerings is the Pacamara varietal, a hybrid of Pacas and Maragogipe, first developed in El Salvador in the 1950s. While Pacamara is now cultivated across Central and South America, this lot represents El Socorro’s exceptional expression of the varietal, showcasing the Guatemalan team’s craftsmanship and dedication to producing extraordinary coffee.
