FOR THE COFFEE

This exceptional natural coffee comes from the renowned Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, an area celebrated for its high altitudes, fertile soils, and ideal rainfall, all of which contribute to the production of some of the finest coffees in the world.

What truly sets Yirgacheffe apart are its indigenous heirloom varietals, which often grow wild in the region’s forests and give the coffee its distinctive floral, fruity, and tea-like characteristics.

Farming in Yirgacheffe is deeply traditional and sustainable by nature. Smallholder farmers typically intercrop coffee with food crops for subsistence, and most farms are organic-by-default, with little to no use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Nearly all farm work is done by hand, often by the entire family.

After selective handpicking, cherries are delivered to the washing station, where they undergo a careful sorting to remove underripe or damaged fruit. The selected cherries are then dried in thin layers on raised African beds for approximately 18 days. The station operates 280 marked drying beds, ensuring full traceability and quality control throughout the drying process.

The result is a clean, expressive natural coffee that captures the essence of Yirgacheffe - vibrant, floral, complex, and deeply rooted in Ethiopian tradition. A must-try for lovers of elegant and aromatic cups.
