FOR THE COFFEE

This special natural processed lot comes from Azahar Coffee Company and their dedicated partner farmers in Gaitania, located in Planadas, South Tolima, Colombia.

Grown at elevations between 1,700 and 2,000 meters above sea level, this coffee is cultivated by producers who are often continuing multi-generational family traditions of coffee farming. The primary varieties grown in this region include Colombia, Castillo, and Caturra, all of which thrive in the area’s rich volcanic soil and ideal microclimate.

The result? A big, bold, and boozy powerhouse of a cup - a natural coffee that packs intense fruitiness, depth, and structure.
It’s a shining example of what South Tolima terroir and careful natural processing can deliver: expressive, vibrant, and unapologetically flavorful.

ABOUT New Ground

New Ground Coffee is an Oxford-based specialty coffee roaster that seamlessly blends exceptional coffee craftsmanship with a profound social mission. Founded in 2017 by friends united by a passion for both outstanding coffee and social justice, New Ground is dedicated to sourcing and roasting some of the world’s finest coffees while making a tangible impact in their community.

Recognizing that individuals released from prison face significant challenges, particularly in securing employment, New Ground actively addresses this issue by offering training and job opportunities to ex-offenders across the Thames Valley. By providing these opportunities, they contribute to reducing reoffending rates and support successful reintegration into society.

New Ground’s commitment extends to ethical sourcing practices, collaborating with small-scale farmers worldwide to ensure that each bean is responsibly obtained. Roasting takes place in their state-of-the-art Oxford facility, where each batch is carefully crafted to highlight the unique flavors inherent in the coffee.

As a Certified B Corporation and Certified Carbon Neutral company, New Ground exemplifies how businesses can drive positive change, proving that exceptional coffee and social responsibility can go hand in hand.
