ABOUT THE COFFEE

This exceptional coffee was grown by Luis Anabel Calderon at Finca Villa Betulia and represents his innovative approach to coffee farming.

In 2017, Luis noticed a distinctive Bourbon tree on his farm and decided to collect its seeds to plant more trees of this unique variety. Recognizing its special characteristics, he gave it a new name to distinguish it from traditional Bourbon - Bourbon Primitivo.

To process this coffee, the cherries undergo anaerobic natural fermentation in hermetically sealed tanks or GrainPro bags, completely excluding oxygen. Over 40 hours, the beans’ natural enzymes break down sugars, creating unique aromatic and flavor compounds. The result is a coffee that is as distinct as its origins, with vibrant and complex flavours.
