The Origin – Gisheke, Nyamasheke District

This coffee comes from the Gisheke washing station in Nyamasheke District, an area known for its ideal conditions for natural coffee processing. The station is strategically located between two steep hills, allowing consistent wind flow that enhances the drying process. Positioned near Lake Kivu and Idjwi Island, the microclimate helps develop the coffee’s rich and complex flavor profile.

The Process – A Traditional Natural

This fully natural coffee is carefully dried in optimal conditions, resulting in a sweet, fruit-forward, and well-structured cup. The combination of high altitude and meticulous processing brings out the best characteristics of Rwandan coffee.

ABOUT Process

Process Coffee is an independent specialty coffee roaster based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, founded by Ben Hamilton in 2019. With a rich background in the coffee industry, Ben co-designed and co-founded Guilt Trip café in 2016, a popular spot known for its quality coffee and donuts. His passion for coffee and community led him to establish Process Coffee, aiming to create a unique space that blends his love for coffee culture and skateboarding.   

Process Coffee stands out not only for its exceptional coffee but also for its innovative packaging. Drawing inspiration from 1990s nostalgia, the brand’s packaging resembles VHS tapes, offering customers a tactile and memorable experience. This creative approach reflects the brand’s ethos of continuous learning and progression, inviting everyone to enjoy and explore the world of specialty coffee.
