FOR THE COFFEE

ROSE Coffee Roasters presents coffee from Tamiru Tadesse, a supplier with over eight years of experience in the coffee business. He works with around 200 farmers in Dello Kebele, Bensa zone in the Sidamo region, from where he harvests approximately 182,000 kg of red cherries from around 80 hectares of land. Tamiru processes the coffee using the anaerobic and natural method, dried on raised beds with mesh, and has so far mainly sold it to international markets in China. Today, he is looking for new destinations and wants to share the unique flavors of Bensa coffee.

This particular batch comes from the Chilaka processing station, also located in the Bensa region, but in a different area from the village of Alo. The growing conditions here are exceptional, allowing the cherries to ripen sweet and juicy. The processing involves 10 days (240 hours) of anaerobic fermentation in the cool climate of the high altitude, which gives rich red fruit notes and exceptional expressiveness. However, Tamiru’s real signature is in the drying, where he achieves a clean and elegant finish to the coffee through strict process control.

The result is a coffee of impressive quality, born from exceptional terroir, suitable growing conditions and masterful processing – a coffee that enchants all who have tried it, and shines both in filter and espresso, and in combination with milk.
