About Hysope

Hysope begins with the story of an epicurean.

In 2019, Mériadec Buchmuller, founder of Hysope and lover of good products, realized there was a gap in the market: no Mixer was up to the job of sublimating the spirits he loved the most. Too sweet, too bland, too full-bodied, too flat... it was impossible to find THE Mixer that would bring out the best in his cocktails and aperitifs.

Le Moscow Mule

INGREDIENTS
4 cl Grey Goose Vodka
12 cl Hysope Spicy Ginger Beer
1 cl lime juice
2 drops Angostura bitter

Garnish
Lime wedge

PREPARATION
1. Fill a copper mug with large ice cubes and mix with a cocktail spoon.
2. Pour 4 cl of Gray Goose Vodka and 1 cl of lime juice.
3. Top with 12 cl of Hysope Ginger Beer Spicy. Mix.
4. Add 2 drops of Angustora Bitter.
5. Finish your cocktail with a dome of crushed ice* and a wedge of lime.
6. Serve with the bottle of Hysope Ginger Beer Spicy.


* Hysope's tip:
Did you know you can make your own shaved ice? Simply place ice cubes in a cloth and break them using a rolling pin for example.

Mezcal Mule

INGREDIENTS
4 cl Mezcal Herencia de Sanchez
10 cl Hysope Spicy Ginger Beer
1 cl lime juice
2 cl agave syrup

Garnish
Slice of fresh ginger
Pinch of chili

PREPARATION
1. In a copper mug, place plenty of ice cubes*. Mix with a cocktail spoon.
2. Pour into your glass: 4 cl of Mezcal Herencia de Sanchez, 1 cl of lime juice and 2 cl of agave syrup. Mix.
3. Top with 10 cl of Hysope Ginger Beer Spicy.
4. Finish your cocktail with a dome of crushed ice, a slice of fresh ginger and a pinch of chilli.
5. Serve with the bottle of Hysope Ginger Beer Spicy.


*Hysope's tip:
To make your Mule cocktail last longer, place large ice cubes at the base of your glass. Just finish with the crushed ice!

Burgundy Mule

INGREDIENTS
Cocktail
4 cl Sab's Gin
10 cl Hysope Spicy Ginger Beer
4 cl Burgundy verjuice cordial

Cordial
20 cl of verjuice
140 g of powdered sugar
100 g blackcurrant berries

Garnish
Grapes

PREPARATION
1. If you want to make your homemade Burgundy verjuice cordial*, start with this.
2. Fill a Julep glass with ice cubes.
3. Cool the glass by stirring with a cocktail spoon.
4. Directly into the glass, pour 4 cl of Sab’s Gin then 4 cl of verjuice cordial. Mix.
5. Add 10 cl of Hyssope Spicy Ginger Beer and top off the glass with a dome of crushed ice.
6. Arrange the blackcurrant berries on the cocktail before serving with the bottle of Hysope Ginger Beer Spicy!


* Make your own Burgundy verjuice cordial!

You will need: 20 cl of verjuice, 140 g of powdered sugar and 100 g of blackcurrant berries.

1. Pour the 20 cl of Burgundy verjuice into a saucepan with 140 g of powdered sugar. Mix to have a homogeneous liquid.
2. Place the pan over medium heat and increase the temperature while stirring. Leave to simmer for 2 minutes: the sugar must be completely dissolved in the verjuice!
3. Add the blackcurrant berries and mix.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Monitor and stir occasionally.
5. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool before filtering the liquid using a sieve. Pour the cordial into a glass bottle: it’s ready!
