The Arriba beans used for this chocolate come from the coastal cloud forest of Mache Chindul in the Ecuadorian province of Esmeraldas, which hosts an enormous diversity of plants and animals. For every bar of chocolate sold, our partner, the chocolate pioneers at ORIGINAL BEANS, grows a tree in the cocoa-growing areas amid its biodiverse splendor. ORIGINAL BEANS represents sustainability, community empowerment, and regenerative agriculture—their dedicated commitment has earned them numerous awards, including the title of the World’s Most Sustainable Chocolate in 2024.
