UP-UP Salted Caramel is a milk chocolate Single Estate 35% cacao content made with fine flavour cocoa beans from a single farm called "El Rosario" located in the Necocli region on the north-eastern coast of Colombia with a unique balance between the intensity of cocoa and sweetness; due to a delicate blend of flavours and inclusions, this chocolate bar brings to the front-line well-defined caramel notes with noticeable tones of sea salt and a smooth milky mouthfeel.

Four years ago, UP-UP realised that although there were brilliant brands working for the slave labour-free chocolate industry, they weren't using cocoa that was actually certified as such. So they set out to find a certifying body and found one in the person of Slavefreetrade, an organization founded in 2018 by Brian Aselin, a veteran and federal agent with extensive experience running anti-trafficking and modern slavery operations around the world.
