This coffee comes from the lush highlands of Guji, Ethiopia, an origin celebrated for its wild, expressive profiles and deep-rooted coffee heritage. Grown at elevations between 1500 and 2000 meters in the Arsosala area of the Uraga District, this lot was produced by Mr. Girum Girma, as part of the Single Farmer Project, an initiative that brings full traceability and recognition to individual Ethiopian producers.
On the cup, this natural-processed heirloom variety is an explosion of juicy red fruit, with a dominant raspberry note that immediately stands out. There’s a gentle lift of jasmine florals on the nose, adding elegance and perfume-like brightness. As the cup cools, a soft, cane sugar sweetness emerges, rounding out the profile with a silky finish and syrupy texture. Some may even find hints of apple blossom, raisin, or red wine, offering layers of complexity and depth.
Drying on raised beds for up to 25 days, the coffee develops its signature jammy richness and layered sweetness. This careful processing, paired with Guji’s rich red soils and ideal climate, results in a coffee that is both playful and refined - perfectly suited for our Flavour Collection / RED, where fruit and florality take center stage.
