FOR THE COFFEE

Grown in the small village of Pha Yar Gyi Kone in the mountainous eastern region of the country, this lot is part of the Shwe Taung Thu farmers group - meaning “golden farmer” in Burmese.

Each village in the group operates its own processing unit, managing every stage of production with meticulous care. The focus is solely on natural processed coffees, taking advantage of the area’s dry, warm climate during the harvest season. Ripe cherries are hand-sorted by villagers to select only the best fruit, then slowly dried on raised beds for 11 to 32 days, depending on weather conditions.

The final coffee showcases the classic richness of natural processing but with an exceptional clean and bright profile - a reflection of the community’s dedication to producing the highest quality.

Pha Yar Gyi Kone is a testament to Myanmar’s emerging specialty coffee scene and the extraordinary craftsmanship of its farmers.
