FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW

BULGARIAN AEROPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP '24

For the fourth year in a row, DREKKA is host of the Bulgarian AeroPress Championship and we can't wait to gather all the fans of the most #brewcoffeeanywhere method of coffee brewing in one place.

The competition coffee that we selected with our partners from Falcon is now with us and we are looking for the perfect profile to give you the opportunity to prepare an amazingly delicious cup of coffee to impress the jury.

This year the winner will represent Bulgaria at the World Finals in Lisbon in September. Airfare, hotel accommodation and airport-hotel-airport transfers are covered by DREKKA.

COMPETITION WATER

The official competition water of The Bulgarian AeroPress Championship is provided by Brita. The same start for everyone but we are sure you will brew totally different cups at the end.

COMPETITION COFFEE

The competition coffee is carefully selected by Hristo and the Falcon Coffees team. Each participant will receive 200 grams of competition coffee on the day of the championship (yes, a major change!). Within two hours, everyone will be able to develop their competition recipe in the training room. The competition coffee will remain a secret until the day of the championship.

The fees are divided into Early bird, Standard and Too Late.

Each participant receives:

  • 1 x 200 g competition coffee
  • 1 ticket for a companion

Competition places are limited to 27.

RULES

The Bulgarian championship fully follows the rules of the international competition.

EQUIPMENT

The host will provide the following equipment:

- KeepCups for serving the final drink to the judges

Competitors must bring the necessary equipment to compete. Allowed equipment is described in the Championship Rules.

VOLUNTEERS

We will need your help and would love for you to get involved in the organization on the day. We will try to organize a great coffee event together.

We will provide food, drinks and a goodie bag. We'll need you from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 15. If you are interested, write to us at shop@drekka.bg or at Instagram @drekkabg.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The official water of the Bulgarian AeroPress Championship will be provided in partnership with Brita and would be the only water that can be used to prepare the competition recipe. Each competitor will have access to the filtered Brita water during the competition day preparation.

All competitors will receive the competition coffee on the day of the competition.

Each competitor will have two hours on the day of the event to prepare their competition recipe.

Each participant will be entitled to one companion who will have access to the training and competition.
