FOR THE COFFEE

Tomas Ganamo, a dedicated coffee farmer from Bombe, Sidama, inherited a six-hectare farm in 1991. After years of farming teff and corn, he introduced coffee in 2005. In 2018, seeking greater control over quality, Tomas built his own mill to process his coffee cherries. Since 2020, he has worked with Lulo Coffee to find markets for his exceptional beans.

Tomas is also a proud father of six, teaching them hard work, respect for nature, and the value of education. While one child has followed in his footsteps as a coffee farmer, the others are pursuing their studies.

Bombe is known for its high-quality coffee, and Tomas’s farm stands out in the competitive region. He practices regenerative, multi-crop, and organic farming, nurturing the soil and promoting biodiversity on his farm.

ABOUT Taith

Taith means “journey” in Welsh – and that’s exactly what you can expect from every coffee they roast. Based in Lewes, UK, Taith is a small, independent roastery with a passion for sourcing rare and expressive coffees from producers who push boundaries and grow with care.

Each lot is a reflection of origin, process, and people – always seasonal, traceable, and roasted with precision. From vibrant washed Ethiopians to experimental Colombian fermentations, Taith’s coffees are clean, characterful, and full of surprises.
